How We Raise Our Puppies
Eight weeks of work happens before you ever meet your puppy. Here's all of it, in order, so you can compare us to anyone else you're talking to.
Health Testing
Both parents get tested before we breed them. If a result comes back wrong, that pairing is off — no matter how badly the timing hurts. You get copies of every one of these, and you get them without having to ask twice.
Our Socialization Curriculum
Nobody skips a week. The same program runs for every litter, from day three to the morning they load into your car. Most of what people call a "good temperament" is really just work someone did early.
Days 3–16
Three minutes a day of Early Neurological Stimulation. Tiny bits of handled stress, on purpose, so that later on a vacuum or a thunderstorm is a non-event.
Weeks 3–5
Tile, carpet, gravel, stairs. Doorbell, blender, dropped pan — quiet at first, then normal volume. By the end of this they barely look up.
Weeks 5–7
Kids, grandparents, strangers in the kitchen. First collar, first leash, first car ride — all of it while it's still easy.
Week 7
The big one. Each puppy gets pulled aside and scored on five traits. Those numbers go straight into the Puppy Proof Pack™, good or bad.
Nothing to buy on day one
The Go-Home Starter Pack
Every puppy leaves with a packed bag, not an invoice. The first few days are hard enough — you should not spend them running to the pet store. Here is exactly what comes with your puppy.
In the bag
A bag of their food
The exact food they are already eating, so week one is not also a diet change. Switch to your own brand slowly, on your schedule, when the puppy has settled.
A scent blanket
A blanket that has been in with mom and the littermates for days before pickup. It goes in the crate on night one, and it is the single thing that buys you the quietest first night.
A first collar
A soft, correctly sized starter collar, already worn in, so putting it on is not the first battle you fight.
A matching leash
A lead to match. First walks are hard enough without a puppy who has never felt a leash before.
A favourite toy
A toy they already know and love, pulled from the bin they have been playing out of for weeks.
A Kong chew toy
One Kong for the teething weeks. Stuff it, freeze it, and it does more to save your furniture than any amount of telling-off ever will.
Done before pickup
First round of shots
First vaccinations done by our vet, on schedule, with the dates in writing so your own vet picks up exactly where we left off.
Fully dewormed
The complete deworming protocol, from two weeks old to the day they leave. Nothing left for you to sort out in week one.
A complete health record
Every shot, every deworming and the vet exam, written down and handed to you on pickup day. Proof, not a promise that one exists.
1-year health guarantee
A one-year written guarantee against genetic health conditions. You read the whole thing before you pay us anything.
Your puppy also comes with a written temperament report, and goes home on a spay/neuter agreement. And we answer the phone for the life of the dog — not just the first week.
